Peer Assistance Services – One Step Ahead
Description: Offers help to educate and support parents and caregivers in regards to substance abuse prevention including the Speak Now program that helps parents and caregivers start the conversation about the misuse of opioid drugs.
Western Colorado Area Health Education Center (WCAHEC) – Personal Care Provider Training
Description: Offers PCP training, Colorado Q-MAP training, CPR/AED/First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogens w/ Epi-pen training and job shadowing and reflection.
Western Colorado Health Network
Description: HIV, HEP C and STI testing, prescription assistance for people living with HIV and those on PrEP, housing and transportation support, grocery vouchers and help with utility bill / phone bill assistance.
Mind Springs Health – Peer Recovery Program
Description: Provides enhanced outpatient services (2-5 hours of treatment per week), intensive outpatient (10-12 hours of treatment per week), strategies for self-improvement and change, behavior change programs, safe driving education and peer services
Americorp Opioid Response Program
Description: Coordinates and facilitates provider education and events, facilitates community educational events, coordinates delivery of youth-focused opioid-related educational resources.
Speak Now Colorado
Description: Provides parent education opportunities about talking to youth about substance use disorder. Also provides other general information, statistics and resources.
